Holding a training course by the Ministry of Interior.

The course is being conducted on the basis of the memorandum signed by the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings of Georgia. All police officers at the middle and high managerial rank of the criminal and patrol police will pass the course before the elections.

After completing the training course, law enforcers will be able to detect and evaluate the risks of presidential elections in a timely manner, as well as to prevent preventive measures and to react correctly to offenses.

Additionally, the Academy has created an electronic audio-visual learning module to ensure the availability of the training information and, thus, the safety of the elections. Within the framework of the same module, election monitors and regulators are available for police officers to talk to and answer questions. The module also includes special materials prepared for the training of police systems by the Center for Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings and the IFES-Georgia office. All criminal and patrol police officers will pass the electronic version of the course.
